Jewels and Brooches
I have quite a fascination with the jewels that were worn on hats, pinned onto clothing, and as pendants from the 14th through the 16th centuries. These pendants are available in Sterling Silver. I should have gold-plated versions Real Soon Now. The quatrefoil line is a modular group of stone settings that can be linked together in graduating sizes or alternating stone colors. I have available: 10x16mm cushion setting, 14mm square cushion, 6x8mm rectangle, 8mm square, 6mm square, 5mm square, and 3mm square.

New!
Pomander (Muskapfel) 1.5 inch diameter at the 'equator'.

These pendants are just over 1/2 inch in diameter. They are set with a 4mm stone. Available in Sterling silver and gold-plated bronze. Available as earrings and as a necklace.
In
silver or gold-plate, a necklace is $35, a pair of earrings $55, and the set
of earrings and necklace is $75. Ruby is $5 extra per stone. Available stones:
These brooches below are based on an example in the British Museum, shown in Plate 18 of Joan Evans'"A History of Jewellery 1100 - 1870" published by Dover Books. The original was gold, with a rectangular sapphire set in the middle of each curve. I hope to have one completed soon that has these gemstones in addition to the six pearls. Not everyone is a huge pearl fan, however, so I also have this striking shape available with only three pearls or with none at all.

Amethyst,
lab-grown sapphire, and freshwater pearls set in sterling silver. Approximately
1.25 inches tall including the pearl drop.
Here are several
small jewels, using ruby, garnets, lapis, amethyst, chrysoprase, and freshwater
pearls. I have an ever-changing stock of these little guys - let me know what
shapes you like and what stone colors you want, and I can come up with something
to go with any costume. The basic jewels with a square and four rounds run from
$60-$85. The most elaborate one, with four extra pearls and a pearl drop, is
$120 - $150 depending on stones.
This is an
in-progress photo of a ruby jewel surrounded by pearls.
